Summary

In this podcast episode, Steve Morgan, a successful businessman, philanthropist, and former owner of Wolverhampton Wanderers, shares a defining moment in his life that profoundly changed his perspective.

Morgan narrates the tragic loss of his brother, Jimmy, in a motorcycle accident. This event served as a catalyst for significant life changes for Morgan. He reflects on the importance of making the most of opportunities and pursuing one's passions.

Faced with limited work prospects in 1977, Morgan made a bold decision to leave the UK and seek opportunities in California, USA. Despite initial challenges, he eventually found success in the construction industry.

However, Morgan's life took another unexpected turn when his brother, Jimmy, passed away at the young age of 17. This devastating loss deeply affected Morgan and his family.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, Morgan and his wife decided to start a family. This decision led to the birth of their son, who became a source of joy and inspiration during a difficult time.

Morgan acknowledges that while the loss of his brother was a profound tragedy, it also served as a catalyst for positive change in his life. He credits his brother's memory as a driving force behind his success in business and his commitment to philanthropy.

Morgan's story highlights the power of resilience, the importance of embracing new opportunities, and the transformative impact that adversity can have on one's life. It serves as a reminder to cherish the present, pursue one's dreams, and make the most of every moment.

[00:00.000 -> 00:05.200] As a person with a very deep voice, I'm hired all the time for advertising campaigns.
[00:05.200 -> 00:10.880] But a deep voice doesn't sell B2B, and advertising on the wrong platform doesn't sell B2B either.
[00:10.880 -> 00:14.720] That's why if you're a B2B marketer, you should use LinkedIn ads.
[00:14.720 -> 00:19.920] LinkedIn has the targeting capabilities to help you reach the world's largest professional audience.
[00:19.920 -> 00:24.080] That's right, over 70 million decision makers all in one place.

[00:41.360 -> 00:42.840] voice in the world?
[00:42.840 -> 00:44.960] Yes, yes it does.

[04:30.000 -> 04:34.080] roedd fy brif yn cael ei gael ei gael yn ystod y motograff. Roedd yn 17 oed.
[04:34.080 -> 04:41.120] Roedd yn mynd i ddod â'i chwaraewr o waith, a'r car yn cael ei ddod allan o'i gynnyrch, ac yna roedd hynny.

[05:26.000 -> 05:33.000] Nid oedd £40,000 yn ddiddorol o arian heddiw, ond yn y dyddiadau hwnnw, roedd yn swydd fawr.
[05:33.000 -> 05:35.000] A dyna'n ei weld drwy'r ddewis.
[05:35.000 -> 05:37.000] Ac yna, roedd y gwaith yn mynd i mewn.
[05:37.000 -> 05:41.000] Ac hefyd, ar y penderfyniad nad i fynd i California,
[05:41.000 -> 05:43.000] decidwom i ddechrau teulu.
[05:43.000 -> 05:45.000] Felly, dim ond ddulu, felly, nes y monedau,
[05:45.000 -> 05:48.000] yn lwyr, 10 mlynedd ar ôl i'r ddau,
[05:48.000 -> 05:50.000] fe wnaeth fy mhrof fych.
[05:50.000 -> 05:53.000] Fe wnaeth ei byw yn newid bywyd.
[05:53.000 -> 05:54.000] Felly, o'r tragedaeth,
[05:54.000 -> 05:56.000] ddangos rhywbeth dda iawn.
[05:56.000 -> 05:57.000] Ond yn y mwyaf, fel dweud,
