[00:00.000 -> 00:01.000] Hey, I'm Ryan Reynolds.
[00:01.000 -> 00:03.360] Recently, I asked Mint Mobile's legal team
[00:03.360 -> 00:05.120] if big wireless companies are allowed
[00:05.120 -> 00:07.240] to raise prices due to inflation.
[00:07.240 -> 00:08.280] They said yes.
[00:08.280 -> 00:09.720] And then when I asked if raising prices
[00:09.720 -> 00:12.440] technically violates those onerous two-year contracts,
[00:12.440 -> 00:14.720] they said, what the f*** are you talking about,
[00:14.720 -> 00:16.440] you insane Hollywood a*****e?
[00:16.440 -> 00:19.040] So to recap, we're cutting the price of Mint Unlimited
[00:19.040 -> 00:21.960] from $30 a month to just $15 a month.
[00:21.960 -> 00:24.640] Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch.
[00:24.640 -> 00:25.000] $45 up front for three months plus taxes and fees. Promo rate for new customers for a limited time. Unlimited more than 40 gigabytes per month, slows. to just $15 a month. Give it a try at MintMobile.com slash switch.
[00:25.000 -> 00:27.000] $45 up front for 3 months plus taxes and fees. Promote for new customers for a limited time.
[00:27.000 -> 00:30.000] Unlimited more than 40GB per month. Slows. Full terms at MintMobile.com
[00:33.000 -> 00:36.000] On our podcast we love to highlight businesses that are doing things a better way
[00:36.000 -> 00:39.000] so you can live a better life. And that's why when I found
[00:39.000 -> 00:42.000] Mint Mobile, I had to share. So Mint Mobile
[00:42.000 -> 00:45.120] ditched retail stores and all those overhead costs
[00:45.120 -> 00:50.480] and instead sells their phone plans online and passes those savings to you. And for a
[00:50.480 -> 00:54.720] limited time they're passing on even more savings with a new customer offer that cuts
[00:54.720 -> 01:01.000] all Mint Mobile plans to $15 a month when you purchase a three month plan. That's unlimited
[01:01.000 -> 01:06.480] talk, text and data for $15 a month.
[01:06.480 -> 01:11.480] And by the way, the quality of Mint Mobile's wireless service in comparison to providers
[01:11.480 -> 01:14.200] that we've worked with before is incredible.
[01:14.200 -> 01:19.520] Mint Mobile is here to rescue you with premium wireless plans for $15 a month.
[01:19.520 -> 01:23.920] So say goodbye to your overpriced wireless plans, those jaw-dropping monthly bills,
[01:23.920 -> 01:29.800] those unexpected overages, because all the plans come with unlimited talk and text and high-speed data

[01:48.920 -> 01:53.420] month unlimited wireless plan for just 15 bucks a month go to mintmobile.com
[01:53.420 -> 02:00.940] slash HPP that's mintmobile.com slash HPP. Cut your wireless bill to 15 bucks a
[02:00.940 -> 02:06.800] month at mintmobile.com slash hpp. Additional taxes, fees and restrictions apply.
[02:06.800 -> 02:11.520] See Mint Mobile for details. Hey there, welcome along to this bite-sized episode of the High
[02:11.520 -> 02:16.880] Performance Podcast. Look, most of our episodes are 45, 50 minutes long, maybe sometimes even
[02:16.880 -> 02:20.800] more than an hour, and we know that sometimes you just haven't got the time for that. So,
[02:20.800 -> 02:24.800] just a few minutes to bring you a bit of inspiration from one of the guests who's
[02:24.800 -> 02:28.300] appeared on the podcast, and actually a friend of mine Ian sent me a
[02:28.300 -> 02:32.180] message the other day saying he loves these because he listens to the pod
[02:32.180 -> 02:36.200] episodes then these bite-sized episodes just remind him of the things that he
[02:36.200 -> 02:41.700] heard loved and then managed to forget so even if you regularly listen to the
[02:41.700 -> 02:45.520] podcast welcome along to this bite-sized episode.
[02:50.480 -> 02:55.360] Hey thanks very much Lotus as always, without you we wouldn't be doing these bite-sized episodes, our main episodes, High Performance simply wouldn't exist. Lotus are our founding partner,
[02:55.360 -> 03:00.480] they've been there from the very start and you can get the very latest news from them at

[03:08.400 -> 03:13.200] of beautiful teas which will hydrate you, energize you, even help you to go to

[03:18.400 -> 03:23.920] going to missionuk.com and entering High Performance at the checkout. Right,
[03:23.920 -> 03:46.720] let's get straight on with this bite-sized episode of the High Performance Podcast. on Yn ystod y 2002 pan ddewisais y Cymru a'r bydau, roedd gen i'r seswna'n ffantastig, seswna'n gweithredu'n wirioneddol.
[03:46.720 -> 03:47.960] Roeddwn i'n meddwl y byddwn i'n ei gweithredu.
[03:47.960 -> 03:49.720] Roeddwn i'n meddwl mai dyma'r fformwla, dyma beth rydw i'n ei gael i'w wneud.
[03:49.720 -> 03:52.120] Os ydw i'n ymwneud â hyn ymlaen, os ydw i'n ymwneud â hyn ymlaen,
[03:52.120 -> 03:56.240] os ydw i'n ymwneud â hyn ymlaen, byddai hyn yn cynnwys y meddal gwyllt y flwyddyn nesaf.
[03:56.240 -> 03:57.600] Ond yr hyn sy'n digwydd yw,
[03:57.600 -> 03:58.760] rydych chi'n cynyddu'r bar,
[03:58.760 -> 04:01.520] ac yna mae'r rhai ffyrdd o bobl sy'n eich gweld chi,
[04:01.520 -> 04:03.800] yn ymwneud â'ch ddod o'ch gilydd, ac maen nhw'n cynyddu'r bar ymlaen.
[04:03.800 -> 04:08.440] Felly mae angen i chi gweithredu'n cynyddu'n gyfan. Ac ar gyfer hynny, mae angen i chi newid, dim ond popeth, behind you They're chasing after you and they raise the bar further So you've got to continuously improve yourself and by doing that you have to change just not everything
[04:08.800 -> 04:11.300] You don't change, you know, you don't throw the baby out with the bathwater
[04:11.300 -> 04:16.820] But you make little changes to the things that can be improved and you keep the things that are really structural
[04:16.820 -> 04:22.780] You know important to the overall thing. So when you lose you've got nothing to be afraid of changing
[04:22.780 -> 04:27.000] Whereas when you're winning you're frightened to change because you think sure I've got the winning formula Mae gennych ni ddim i chi fod yn fawr o newid, yn hytrach na phan fyddwch chi'n gweithio i newid oherwydd teimlo fy mod i wedi cael y fformwla.
[04:27.000 -> 04:32.000] Felly Damien, beth sy'n eich gael i chi wrth eich clywed i un o'n gwestiwnau pwysau a'n ei ddweud fel hyn?
[04:32.000 -> 05:07.200] Ie, rwy'n hoffi hynny ac rwy'n hoffi cael y cyfaddef o'i gwrdd, Jake. Rwy'n meddwl oedd e'n bywyd yn hynod o ddewis, yn hyfforddi a'n ymddangos yath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fath o'r fol o'r cyfnod, mae eich emociau yn ddod o'r iawn, rydych chi'n edrych i ddysgu ar y broses. Pan ddysgwch i ddweud na allwch chi ddod o'r iawn, byddwch chi'n ddefnyddio, byddwch chi'n
[05:07.200 -> 05:25.720] ddysgu'n agos ac yn ymddangos yn y penderfyniad. Ac rwy'n credu bod y cyfnod o'r cyfnod o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfnod o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifiad o'r cyfrifi on new ideas. I think he's a mindset of all high performance. You know what it
[05:25.720 -> 05:30.620] reminds me of one of my favorite books from Bob Iger who was the CEO of the
[05:30.620 -> 05:35.960] Disney company and as you know I'm also involved in a production company that I
[05:35.960 -> 05:39.280] founded called Whisper and there's one thing he wrote in his book that we've
[05:39.280 -> 05:43.080] adopted at Whisper and I believe it's one of the reasons why our company has
[05:43.080 -> 05:45.480] been growing and growing and it's when he talks about
[05:46.080 -> 05:52.720] Innovate or die and he was the person who wanted them to create Disney Plus, but that meant ripping up
[05:53.120 -> 05:55.120] Millions of pounds worth of already agreed
[05:55.680 -> 05:59.400] Contracts and guaranteed income to try and create a subscription service
[05:59.400 -> 06:03.120] so it came with risk, but Bob talks in the book time and time and time again about
[06:04.040 -> 06:05.000] innovate or die.
[06:05.000 -> 06:10.000] And I think the great thing about that is that doesn't just apply to a big business or a small business.
[06:10.000 -> 06:12.000] It can also apply to an individual.
[06:12.000 -> 06:23.000] I think we need to constantly be thinking, where are the areas in my life and in my business and in my relationships where I just keep on doing the same thing.
[06:23.000 -> 06:26.000] And therefore I'm getting the same results. Iawn, rydw i'n mynd i'r un peth, ac felly rydw i'n cael yr un cyflawniadau.
[06:26.000 -> 06:31.000] Mae'r innovatio'n bwysig iawn os ydych chi eisiau i gyd yn ymdrechu,
[06:31.000 -> 06:38.000] efallai os yw'n ymdrechu, fel y sgwrsodd Johnny Wilkinson ar un o'r episodiau. Innovate to explore.
[06:38.000 -> 06:43.000] Wel, meddwl amdano yn y sport. Meddwl am y gwych innovatorau sydd wedi rhoi eu enw i'r cymryd,
[06:43.000 -> 06:46.000] fel y fflop Fosbury o Dick Fosbury, yn dewis ymdrechu i wneud y ffordd gwahanol o ddod o'r innovatorau gwych sydd wedi rhoi eu enw i'r cymryd, fel y fflop o Fosbury o Dick Fosbury,
[06:46.000 -> 06:51.000] yn dewis ymdrechu mewn ffordd gwahanol i ymdrechu drwy y bar cynyddu cyhoeddiad, neu y cyrraedd Croyff,
[06:51.000 -> 06:56.000] sut y ddechreuodd Johan Croyff i ddod i'r ffyrdd i ymdrechu o'r cymryd, neu Penenka,
[06:56.000 -> 07:03.000] neu'r atgraf o Roger Federer, y cyfleu atgraf o Roger, y gydaeth y gynnydd y gynnydd.
[07:03.000 -> 07:29.160] Mae'r ffyrdd o'r innovatorau gwych yn rhoi eu enw i'r cymryd, oherwydd maen nhw'n edrych arud â'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r sgiliau a'r i ffyrdd newydd, oherwydd y byddwn yn arwain ar y llyfr newydd, neu'n clywed ar podcast fel hwn, sy'n gallu rhoi syniadau i ni, neu, wyt ti'n gwybod, yn clywed
[07:29.160 -> 07:32.120] at rhywun rydyn ni ddim eisiau clywed ar y podcast fel yr hyn rydyn ni'n
[07:32.120 -> 07:35.840] ymwneud â'r bobl i'w hymdrechu. Mae'n ymwneud â rhoi'r deunyddau
[07:35.840 -> 07:39.760] o fuddsoddiad i bobl. Ac rwy'n meddwl am rai o'r bobl rydw i'n gwybod
[07:39.760 -> 07:43.840] yn clywed ar y podcast hwn, ac rwy'n meddwl, rwy'n gwybod beth maen nhw'n
[07:43.840 -> 07:48.880] ei wneud. Mae'n mynd i mewn, dwi'n edrych ar busnes fel un o'n, neu'n to this podcast and I'm sort of thinking that I know what they often do they go well let's look at a business like ours or a charity like ours or a person like
[07:48.880 -> 07:52.800] me have a look what they've done and copy them but actually what as you've
[07:52.800 -> 07:56.200] just mentioned some examples there in the sporting context but actually
[07:56.200 -> 07:59.840] whether you look at the person who created the internet or when penicillin
[07:59.840 -> 08:05.440] was invented or the person who invented the light bulb or television or the first neu'r person sydd wedi ddifro'r llwybr fwyaf, neu'r telewidio, neu'r person cyntaf i fflwyo mewn fflwm.
[08:06.320 -> 08:11.280] Whan gydag innovatorau, dim peth yn mynd ymlaen ar y blynyddoedd.
[08:11.280 -> 08:15.920] Mae'n unig y bobl hynny sy'n gwneud rhywbeth nad yw unrhyw un arall wedi ei wneud
[08:16.880 -> 08:18.640] sy'n mynd i'r lle newydd.
[08:19.200 -> 08:22.560] Ie, mae cwodl gwych sy'n dweud bod y byd yn dybynu ar
[08:22.560 -> 08:25.920] ein bod yn anodd i ddim yn cyflawni'r cyflawni'r status.
[08:25.920 -> 08:30.480] Mae yna ddifrif ffras sy'n cael ei ddefnyddio yn ymwneud â'r tri oed
[08:30.480 -> 08:34.560] o'r cyflwyn, maen nhw'n siarad am innovatorion sy'n gweithio ar newid arferion,
[08:34.560 -> 08:39.600] imitatorion sy'n ymdrechu arnynt a'u hyfforddi a'u gwneud.
[08:39.600 -> 08:43.120] Ac yna'r oed yn y pen draw, y ddewision sy'n dod yn ddiwethaf,
[08:43.120 -> 08:46.800] sy'n gwaith am dylyrdd o ddewis newid.
[08:46.800 -> 08:50.480] Ac rwy'n credu y byddwn ni'n hyrwyddo pobl i'w wneud, yw bod yn y ddau gyntaf y categori,
[08:50.480 -> 08:57.200] fod yn innovator, neu fod yn imitator o ddysgu arnynt, ac yw'n eu cymryd ac yn eu datblygu, ac yw'n mynd i innovoio eich hun.
[08:57.200 -> 09:02.720] Ac os ydych chi ddim, os ydych chi'n clywed hwn ac yn meddwl na, na, na, na, dydw i ddim yn meddwl bod innovatio ar gyfer mi,
[09:02.720 -> 09:08.620] yna rwy'n meddwl y byddwch chi'n dweud un o ddau pethau, ydych chi'n ei gyd yn dweud y byddwch chi llawer o ffyrdd I don't think innovation is for me Then I guess you're really saying one of two things you're either saying that you've got so much fear that you don't dare do it
[09:08.940 -> 09:10.940] Or you're so arrogant
[09:10.980 -> 09:16.160] There's no point innovating because there is no innovation left for you because you've done so well and I'm you know
[09:16.160 -> 09:20.460] None none of us want anyone to live a life of fear and I doubt there's anyone listening to this podcast
[09:20.880 -> 09:24.480] That is so far ahead of the curve that they can't possibly innovate
[09:25.120 -> 09:29.240] podcast that is so far ahead of the curve that they can't possibly innovate. Exactly, I think that's a brilliant way of looking at it. If they were on the two
[09:29.240 -> 09:33.440] reasons there's no reason not to do this. Absolutely, Damien I love these little
[09:33.440 -> 09:36.760] bite-sized episodes I really hope that was useful for someone listening to this.
[09:36.760 -> 09:41.200] Thanks a lot buddy. Me too mate, thanks for having us. As always a huge thanks as
[09:41.200 -> 09:45.280] well to Lotus Cars, we wouldn't be the High Performance Podcast.
