[00:00.000 -> 00:05.200] As a person with a very deep voice, I'm hired all the time for advertising campaigns.
[00:05.200 -> 00:10.880] But a deep voice doesn't sell B2B, and advertising on the wrong platform doesn't sell B2B either.
[00:10.880 -> 00:14.720] That's why if you're a B2B marketer, you should use LinkedIn ads.
[00:14.720 -> 00:19.920] LinkedIn has the targeting capabilities to help you reach the world's largest professional audience.
[00:19.920 -> 00:24.080] That's right, over 70 million decision makers all in one place.
[00:24.080 -> 00:26.840] All the bigwigs and mediumwigs.
[00:26.840 -> 00:29.520] Also smallwigs who are on the path to becoming bigwigs.
[00:29.520 -> 00:31.760] Okay, that's enough about wigs.
[00:31.760 -> 00:36.200] LinkedIn ads allows you to focus on getting your B2B message to the right people.
[00:36.200 -> 00:41.360] So does that mean you should use ads on LinkedIn instead of hiring me, the man with the deepest
[00:41.360 -> 00:42.840] voice in the world?
[00:42.840 -> 00:44.960] Yes, yes it does.
[00:44.960 -> 00:47.000] Get started today and see why LinkedIn
[00:47.000 -> 00:49.440] is the place to be, to be.
[00:49.440 -> 00:52.720] We'll even give you a $100 credit on your next campaign.
[00:52.720 -> 00:55.880] Go to linkedin.com slash results to claim your credit.
[00:55.880 -> 00:58.180] That's linkedin.com slash results.
[00:58.180 -> 00:59.560] Terms and conditions apply.
[01:02.560 -> 01:04.720] On our podcast, we love to highlight businesses
[01:04.720 -> 01:06.540] that are doing things a better way so you
[01:06.540 -> 01:11.600] can live a better life and that's why when I found Mint Mobile I had to share.
[01:11.600 -> 01:16.280] So Mint Mobile ditched retail stores and all those overhead costs and instead sells their
[01:16.280 -> 01:19.680] phone plans online and passes those savings to you.
[01:19.680 -> 01:23.880] And for a limited time they're passing on even more savings with a new customer offer
[01:23.880 -> 01:29.880] that cuts all Mint Mobile plans to $15 a month when you purchase a 3 month plan.
[01:29.880 -> 01:36.280] That's unlimited talk, text and data for $15 a month.
[01:36.280 -> 01:41.120] And by the way, the quality of Mint Mobile's wireless service in comparison to providers
[01:41.120 -> 01:44.040] that we've worked with before is incredible.
[01:44.040 -> 01:46.320] Mint Mobile is here to rescue you
[01:46.320 -> 01:49.200] with premium wireless plans for 15 bucks a month.
[01:49.200 -> 01:51.960] So say goodbye to your overpriced wireless plans,
[01:51.960 -> 01:53.680] those jaw-dropping monthly bills,
[01:53.680 -> 01:55.600] those unexpected overages,
[01:55.600 -> 01:58.120] because all the plans come with unlimited talk and text
[01:58.120 -> 01:59.520] and high-speed data
[01:59.520 -> 02:02.680] delivered on the nation's largest 5G network.
[02:02.680 -> 02:05.720] Use your own phone with any Mint Mobile plan, bring your

[02:37.360 -> 02:41.360] for details hey there thanks so much for joining us for this bite-sized episode
[02:41.360 -> 02:44.720] of the high-performance podcast in partnership with Lotus cars I'm gonna
[02:44.720 -> 02:48.880] make you a promise I promise we're not going to take up much of your day, but I also promise
[02:48.880 -> 02:53.200] that the next few minutes is going to be a really good use of your time. What we're doing on these
[02:53.200 -> 02:57.840] bite-sized episodes is just diving into former conversations that we've had on the High Performance
[02:57.840 -> 03:02.640] Podcast, and Damien and myself are just picking out the learnings, the lessons, the little nuggets
[03:02.640 -> 03:08.920] of inspiration, so that you can learn even more about what our guests have done to live a high-performance
[03:08.920 -> 03:12.800] life and there is no one I don't believe more high-performance than Nimz
[03:12.800 -> 03:16.800] Perja, a man who has shown that things that we believe to be impossible are
[03:16.800 -> 03:20.480] actually possible. He summited the tallest mountains in the world quicker
[03:20.480 -> 03:24.120] than anybody else, he's the first man to get to the top of K2 in the middle of
[03:24.120 -> 03:29.040] winter and he did it all through having the right mindset. How did
[03:29.040 -> 03:34.920] he do it? A. He believed he could and B. When things went wrong he made no
[03:34.920 -> 03:38.920] excuses. Here he is.
[03:38.920 -> 03:45.120] I always believed that if you want to be the best in the world, you shouldn't have any excuses.
[03:45.920 -> 03:52.000] And I always believed that, you know, excuses are for losers. You know, have you heard any person
[03:52.000 -> 03:59.840] who has won make any excuses? No. And I didn't want to fall in that category. That is as simple
[03:59.840 -> 04:05.680] as that, you know. Even maybe when I, when I, when I fail to, you know, summit a mountain, I will probably fail to you know summit a mountain I will probably come
[04:05.680 -> 04:10.400] with the excuses but then I made that excuses because I failed it and I don't want to fall
[04:10.400 -> 04:16.640] in that category you lose you lose so it's very simple for me. Damien do you know what I love
[04:16.640 -> 04:21.680] about this lesson and this week's Bite Size episode it is so simple every single person
[04:21.680 -> 04:25.220] listening to this episode can decide right now not to
[04:25.220 -> 04:29.440] make excuses for anything even the things that have gone wrong and they're
[04:29.440 -> 04:31.960] not even their fault and it's really annoying and it makes your whole day
[04:31.960 -> 04:35.920] crap don't make an excuse don't come up with a reason what did I tell you
[04:35.920 -> 04:40.560] Matthew McConaughey what did he say excuses remove the learning absolutely I
[04:40.560 -> 04:48.000] think if there's three words that sum up our whole high-performance podcast it's Yn ystod y cyfrifiadau, rwy'n credu os oes tri gweithiau sy'n cyllid ein holl ffodd-podcast o'r cyfrifiadau, mae'n ymwneud â'r gwaith yn ymwneud ag ymddygiad.
[04:48.000 -> 04:57.000] Ac rwy'n credu y byddai'r hyn sy'n ei ddysgu yno yw, gwneud ymwneud â'r gwaith, beth bynnag sy'n digwydd i chi, efallai nad yw'ch gwaith, ond yw'ch ymwneud â'r gwaith.
[04:57.000 -> 05:08.400] Ac fe wnawn i ddweud wrthych un o'r stori o'r NIMS, ac rwy'n gobeithio os ydych chi'n clywed iddo yno, ac ydych chi'n meddwl, wow, pa ffyrdd o'r ffyrdd, ac roedd e'n anhygoel. if you're listening to him there and you think wow what a guy and he was amazing I mean I remember when I stood up David in the middle of the recording I went you're so inspirational
[05:08.960 -> 05:14.800] because he was he but he spoke at one point about when he was summiting Everest someone stole his
[05:14.800 -> 05:19.040] oxygen now instead of getting frustrated and thinking I don't believe this this has now
[05:19.040 -> 05:29.120] derailed my bid to summit Everest he decided to write a story in his own head and the story was someone was obviously so desperate for the oxygen that they stole it just to
[05:29.120 -> 05:34.080] stay alive. Therefore his oxygen has saved someone else's life. Now the
[05:34.080 -> 05:38.080] chances of that story being true is probably slim but the most important
[05:38.080 -> 05:42.680] thing is that he took responsibility for the fact that his oxygen had gone
[05:42.680 -> 05:45.100] missing. He didn't look to blame someone else.
[05:45.100 -> 05:46.320] He didn't look for fault.
[05:46.320 -> 05:48.260] He didn't allow it to eat him up from the inside
[05:48.260 -> 05:50.400] because what's the benefit Damien to think,
[05:50.400 -> 05:52.660] and I don't believe it, I'm now frustrated and I'm angry
[05:52.660 -> 05:54.540] and I think everything's going to be a failure.
[05:54.540 -> 05:56.680] There's no benefit to that compared to,
[05:56.680 -> 05:58.200] wow, that saved someone's life.
[05:58.200 -> 05:59.420] So I've already had a good day.
[05:59.420 -> 06:03.200] It's so powerful when you get into this mindset
[06:03.200 -> 06:05.040] of taking responsibility for everything. Yeah, I remember working with the rugby team years ago and there was one really cynical player Mae'n bwysig iawn pan ydych chi'n mynd i'r ystadeg hwn o ddewis gweithredu ar bopeth.
[06:05.040 -> 06:09.040] Ie, rwy'n cofio gweithio gyda'r tîm rugby yn y blynyddoedd, ac roedd un pêl gwirioneddol iawn,
[06:09.040 -> 06:11.760] ac rydyn ni'n siarad am credu bod eich bod chi'n mynd i gyfynu, ac fe dweudwch,
[06:11.760 -> 06:16.080] ydych chi'n dweud wrthym os ydw i'n 100% yn credu bod rwy'n mynd i gyfynu, byddwn i'n gyfynu,
[06:16.080 -> 06:18.960] ac roedd fy mhrofiad yn, nid, nid oes unrhyw un yn gallu gyrraedd hynny,
[06:18.960 -> 06:22.000] ond os ydych chi'n 100% yn credu eich bod chi'n mynd i'w gael,
[06:22.000 -> 06:26.880] gallaf yn ddangos i chi'n hytrach na'r byddwch chi'n ei gyrraedd. 100% believe that you're gonna lose I can pretty much give you a guarantee that you will so why would you want to start?
[06:27.320 -> 06:30.480] Sabotaging yourself before you even set off by by
[06:31.240 -> 06:33.240] removing one of those key fundamental
[06:33.640 -> 06:40.920] Pillars of having belief and therefore taking complete responsibility that you're going to do all you can to be successful
[06:40.920 -> 06:46.060] Yeah, look life is life is there man to slap you across the face every day, right?
[06:46.060 -> 06:47.440] Why do it to yourself?
[06:47.440 -> 06:48.280] Exactly.
[06:48.280 -> 06:49.320] Yeah, exactly.
[06:49.320 -> 06:51.100] I think when you start making excuses,
[06:51.100 -> 06:53.480] it's like you're giving control away to life
[06:53.480 -> 06:55.840] to come and give you that little extra slap
[06:55.840 -> 06:57.960] when, you know, as you say,
[06:57.960 -> 07:00.040] that's gonna happen regardless anyway,
[07:00.040 -> 07:02.200] so you might as well mitigate
[07:02.200 -> 07:07.080] and do everything you can within your control to smooth the path and in all seriousness
[07:07.140 -> 07:09.600] If you're still a bit of a cynic and you're listening to this
[07:10.280 -> 07:13.840] Short episode with Damien and myself and you're thinking now now it's nonsense, right?
[07:14.080 -> 07:17.780] Just right now while we're talking trying to think of one benefit
[07:19.080 -> 07:22.320] To an excuse one benefit to not taking responsibility
[07:22.860 -> 07:26.240] One benefit to sitting there being frustrated
[07:26.240 -> 07:28.160] with something that's happened to you.
[07:28.160 -> 07:29.440] There is not one.
[07:29.440 -> 07:30.280] There just isn't one.
[07:30.280 -> 07:31.880] I mean, I can't think of one, Damien,
[07:31.880 -> 07:33.880] but that doesn't mean it isn't a difficult thing
[07:33.880 -> 07:35.480] to get right in your head.
[07:35.480 -> 07:38.400] And one of the things that I did a long time ago, Damien,
[07:38.400 -> 07:40.240] was I, A, I looked out for people
[07:40.240 -> 07:41.560] who were constantly negative
[07:41.560 -> 07:43.240] or constantly looking to blame someone else
[07:43.240 -> 08:07.720] or constantly being a victim, because that's a good reminder to you that you don't want to be that person. And then the way I stopped it was, o bobl sy'n ymwneud â'r negatif, neu sy'n ymwneud â'r blaenau unrhyw un arall, neu sy'n ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwneud â'r ymwnent, sy'n dod yn ôl i'r ddau. Byddwn yn dod yn ôl i'r ddau. Mae'n rhan o'r ffordd rydyn ni'n cael ei gysylltu i sicrhau ein hunain yn ddod yn ôl
[08:07.720 -> 08:09.080] a byw.
[08:09.080 -> 08:47.360] Ond fel y dweudwch, dydyn ni ddim yn ddiwylliant lle mae'r ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddau ddod o hyd i'r ffyrdd y gallwn eu gwneud i'w gynhyrchu arni. Mae'n ein gwneud yn ein fathwae o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o lefel o brilliantly inspiring people with lessons for you and for your life and I really hope that if you're at a place where you're ready to take
