[00:00.000 -> 00:05.200] As a person with a very deep voice, I'm hired all the time for advertising campaigns.
[00:05.200 -> 00:10.880] But a deep voice doesn't sell B2B, and advertising on the wrong platform doesn't sell B2B either.
[00:10.880 -> 00:14.720] That's why if you're a B2B marketer, you should use LinkedIn ads.
[00:14.720 -> 00:19.920] LinkedIn has the targeting capabilities to help you reach the world's largest professional audience.
[00:19.920 -> 00:24.080] That's right, over 70 million decision makers all in one place.
[00:24.080 -> 00:26.840] All the bigwigs and mediumwigs.
[00:26.840 -> 00:29.520] Also smallwigs who are on the path to becoming bigwigs.
[00:29.520 -> 00:31.760] Okay, that's enough about wigs.
[00:31.760 -> 00:36.200] LinkedIn ads allows you to focus on getting your B2B message to the right people.
[00:36.200 -> 00:41.360] So does that mean you should use ads on LinkedIn instead of hiring me, the man with the deepest
[00:41.360 -> 00:42.840] voice in the world?
[00:42.840 -> 00:44.960] Yes, yes it does.
[00:44.960 -> 00:47.000] Get started today and see why LinkedIn
[00:47.000 -> 00:49.440] is the place to be, to be.
[00:49.440 -> 00:52.720] We'll even give you a $100 credit on your next campaign.
[00:52.720 -> 00:55.880] Go to linkedin.com slash results to claim your credit.
[00:55.880 -> 00:58.180] That's linkedin.com slash results.
[00:58.180 -> 00:59.560] Terms and conditions apply.
[01:02.560 -> 01:04.720] On our podcast, we love to highlight businesses
[01:04.720 -> 01:06.540] that are doing things a better way so you
[01:06.540 -> 01:11.600] can live a better life and that's why when I found Mint Mobile I had to share.
[01:11.600 -> 01:16.280] So Mint Mobile ditched retail stores and all those overhead costs and instead sells their
[01:16.280 -> 01:19.680] phone plans online and passes those savings to you.
[01:19.680 -> 01:23.880] And for a limited time they're passing on even more savings with a new customer offer
[01:23.880 -> 01:29.880] that cuts all Mint Mobile plans to $15 a month when you purchase a 3 month plan.
[01:29.880 -> 01:36.280] That's unlimited talk, text and data for $15 a month.
[01:36.280 -> 01:41.120] And by the way, the quality of Mint Mobile's wireless service in comparison to providers
[01:41.120 -> 01:44.040] that we've worked with before is incredible.
[01:44.040 -> 01:46.320] Mint Mobile is here to rescue you
[01:46.320 -> 01:49.200] with premium wireless plans for 15 bucks a month.
[01:49.200 -> 01:51.960] So say goodbye to your overpriced wireless plans,
[01:51.960 -> 01:53.680] those jaw-dropping monthly bills,
[01:53.680 -> 01:55.600] those unexpected overages,
[01:55.600 -> 01:58.120] because all the plans come with unlimited talk and text
[01:58.120 -> 01:59.520] and high-speed data
[01:59.520 -> 02:02.680] delivered on the nation's largest 5G network.
[02:02.680 -> 02:05.720] Use your own phone with any Mint Mobile plan, bring your
[02:05.720 -> 02:08.820] phone number along with all your existing contacts.
[02:08.820 -> 02:13.440] So ditch overpriced wireless with Mint Mobile's limited time deal and get premium wireless

[02:59.400 -> 03:03.400] On today's hit, Stephen Gerrard's advice for dealing with failure.
[03:07.000 -> 03:09.000] ymchwilio, ymdrech, gweithio allan, beth a phosib, ac ymwneud â'i wneud yn well. Ond mae'n iawn, yw'n i, dwi'n meddwl, mae'n iawn, oherwydd dyna lle rydych chi'n cael eich gael.
[03:09.000 -> 03:15.000] Nid ar y pryd, nid, mae'n anhygoel, dwi'n dweud wrthoch chi, mae'n anhygoel, ond mae wedi digwydd,
[03:15.000 -> 03:21.000] mae'n ymwneud â'i ddeall, ymdrech a'r ymdrech a'r cyfrifiad a'r penderfyniad
[03:21.000 -> 03:27.520] y byddwch chi eisiau my ymwneud â'i ddealu, analysu, ymdrechu a ddod o'r cyfrifiadau
[03:27.520 -> 03:30.160] a chael y penderfyniad oedd eisiau ei wneud yn unwaith eto.
[03:30.160 -> 03:35.160] Ond rydw i'n ymwneud â'r heriau.
[03:35.160 -> 03:37.400] Dwi ddim yn ymdrech i'r gwaith,
[03:37.400 -> 03:41.680] er mwyn gwybod bod e'n dal gyda fi
[03:41.680 -> 03:42.960] am ddau blynedd.
[03:42.960 -> 03:47.200] Dwi'n rhywun sy'n ymdrech a bydd eisiau ymdrechu. it stays with me for a long time. I'm someone who is driven and wants to challenge myself again.
[03:47.200 -> 03:49.600] I wonder, you know, whether that moment against Chelsea,
[03:49.600 -> 03:51.700] if that hadn't happened and you'd won the Premier League that season,
[03:51.700 -> 03:53.500] I wonder whether you would be a manager now.
[03:53.600 -> 03:54.300] So do I.
[03:54.700 -> 03:58.200] And if only you could have seen the wry grin on his face as he said,
[03:58.200 -> 04:00.100] so do I to myself and Damien.
[04:00.400 -> 04:02.000] You know what I find interesting about that,
[04:02.000 -> 04:06.060] Damien, is that dealing with failure is a recurring theme.
[04:06.060 -> 04:08.140] It's a conversation we have with pretty much
[04:08.140 -> 04:10.700] all of our high-performance guests on the podcast.
[04:10.700 -> 04:13.840] Yet, Stephen is one of those
[04:13.840 -> 04:17.340] who really clearly carries it with him.
[04:17.340 -> 04:19.760] And that goes to show that you can still really
[04:19.760 -> 04:22.500] be impacted by failure, like he clearly is,
[04:22.500 -> 04:25.480] but still learn from it, still turn it into a positive.g, ond i gyd, dysgu o'r peth, i gyd, gwneud y peth yn positif.
[04:25.480 -> 04:29.440] Iawn, yn siŵr, Jake. Rwy'n credu bod un o'r teimladau cyffredin sydd wedi'u cymryd ar ein
[04:29.440 -> 04:34.800] cyfrifau'r podcast oedd bod y ffaith bod y ffaith yn rhan o'r ffordd. Nid yw'r dyddiad
[04:34.800 -> 04:39.360] rydyn ni'n mynd i. Ac rwy'n credu bod Stephen yn ei ddysgu'n iawn yno. Mae'n
[04:39.360 -> 04:43.640] ddifrifol, nid yw rhywbeth sy'n cael ei chymryd yn unigol, ond os ydyn ni'n ei gynllunio
[04:43.640 -> 04:47.600] ac yn ei weld fel rhywbeth y gallwn ei ymchwilio, gallwn ei ymdrechu, gweithio allan, It's not something that anybody particularly welcomes, but if we reframe it and see it as something that we can investigate, we can explore, work out
[04:47.600 -> 04:50.000] what it's taught us and then move forward,
[04:50.000 -> 04:52.800] we can only move forward stronger and better
[04:52.800 -> 04:54.560] and more resilient.
[04:54.560 -> 04:56.440] And when I knew that we were gonna have this chat,
[04:56.440 -> 04:59.840] I thought to myself, okay, what is failure
[04:59.840 -> 05:01.560] if I don't let it bother me?
[05:01.560 -> 05:03.480] And that I think is actually quite powerful
[05:03.480 -> 05:07.480] because life is not about actually what happens to you it's about your reaction to those
[05:07.480 -> 05:11.720] things so if you decide that you're gonna fail but you're gonna smile and
[05:11.720 -> 05:14.800] you're gonna move forwards and you're gonna fail often and you're gonna seek
[05:14.800 -> 05:20.160] failure and you're gonna embrace failure you're choosing for failure to be okay
[05:20.160 -> 05:23.720] you're not allowing it to control you in any way. Yeah there's a great example of
[05:23.720 -> 05:29.040] this from a man called Ben Zander who sy'n rhaidwyr yr Orchestra Philharmonig y Boston ac mae'n dweud
[05:29.040 -> 05:35.440] y byddai, pa byddwch chi'n teimlo'r ffailiau, mae'n ei ddweud o'i chyfathrebu moment a dweud
[05:35.440 -> 05:40.320] y byddwch chi'n defnyddio'r ff-syllwyd, oherwydd yna mae'n ei gynllunio i ddechrau ymdrechu,
[05:40.320 -> 05:48.760] gwneud ymwneud â beth sydd wedi mynd yn iawn a sut y byddwch chi'n ei ddweud am y pwysleidiau hwnnw ymlaen, work out what's gone wrong and how that he's going to avoid that mistake next time and I think that's a really nice way of viewing failure as the other F
[05:48.760 -> 05:54.080] word is view it as fascinating rather than as a failure and a full stop.
[05:54.080 -> 05:59.120] And you know I'm sure lots of people listening to this go to the gym if they
[05:59.120 -> 06:02.360] go to work and their boss says look you failed at that it hits them hard right
[06:02.360 -> 06:08.320] if they go to the gym and their PT says, right, listen, I want you to do bench presses to failure,
[06:08.320 -> 06:10.640] they don't see it as like, oh, not to failure,
[06:10.640 -> 06:11.720] oh no, but I'm gonna fail.
[06:11.720 -> 06:13.080] At the end of it, they go, yeah, yeah, yeah, brilliant,
[06:13.080 -> 06:14.640] I'm gonna do that to failure.
[06:14.640 -> 06:15.920] That's like the challenge.
[06:15.920 -> 06:20.360] And I would sort of suggest that anyone listening to this
[06:20.360 -> 06:22.060] tries to adopt the mindset of,
[06:22.060 -> 06:24.880] I'm gonna allow myself to be challenged by failure.
[06:24.880 -> 06:28.400] I'm going to look at it as a positive when failure comes to my doorstep, yn ceisio adnabod y meddwl, rydw i'n mynd i allu fy hun i fod yn heriol o fawr. Rydw i'n mynd i edrych arno fel positif pan fawr ymlaen at fy nes ymlaen,
[06:28.400 -> 06:30.800] oherwydd dyna pan dwi'n gwybod dwi wedi'n cyrraedd fy nghyflawn.
[06:30.800 -> 06:33.400] Ac os dwi'n mynd trwy ddau wythnos, dydd,
[06:33.400 -> 06:38.400] efallai dydd, whan ddim fawr o fawr, dwi'n gwybod dwi ddim wedi cyrraedd fy nghyflawn.
[06:38.400 -> 06:41.600] Yn siŵr, ac edrychwch arno i ddweud y metaforaeth, Jake,
[06:41.600 -> 07:05.260] y byddwch chi'n gynnal gweithiau, mae'r gynhyrch yn mynd yn fwy gynhyrchol yma, yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma yma of our capability. [07:09.480 -> 07:12.240] let me just reiterate what we've heard here.
[07:12.240 -> 07:15.080] One of the most celebrated and successful footballers
[07:15.080 -> 07:19.000] and now a really good manager, talking about failure.
[07:19.000 -> 07:20.760] The very best people fail.
[07:20.760 -> 07:23.240] Don't see failure as a failure anymore.
[07:23.240 -> 07:28.320] See failure as a moment of learning. Damien, thank you very much. Thanks Jake, loved it as always.
