[00:00.000 -> 00:07.000] Hi there, this is Christian Horner. You've won the Austrian Grand Prix!
[00:07.000 -> 00:13.880] This is Sergio Perez. Hi, I'm Max Steppen. You are listening to Talking Bull, the official
[00:13.880 -> 00:19.280] Red Bull Racing podcast. Oh, this feels good!
[00:19.280 -> 00:29.200] Hello and welcome to a very special Dutch edition of Talking Bull. After an absence of 36 years, we're back amongst the sand dunes of Zandvoort.
[00:29.200 -> 00:34.160] It's Max's home race and he didn't disappoint the thousands of Dutch fans making up the
[00:34.160 -> 00:36.200] orange army around the track.
[00:36.200 -> 00:39.960] Well done mate, that was epic.
[00:39.960 -> 00:40.960] That was epic.
[00:40.960 -> 00:41.960] You've won your home race.
[00:41.960 -> 00:42.960] You were brilliant today.
[00:42.960 -> 00:43.960] Enjoy this lap and enjoy the podium.
[00:43.960 -> 00:44.960] Thank you very much guys.
[00:44.960 -> 00:46.120] Amazing strategy. That was epic. You've won your home race. You were brilliant today. Enjoy this lap and enjoy the podium.
[00:46.980 -> 00:48.840] Thank you very much, guys.
[00:48.840 -> 00:50.240] Amazing strategy.
[00:50.240 -> 00:52.480] You were really, really sharp today.
[00:52.480 -> 00:55.640] And nice pushing 72 laps here.
[00:55.640 -> 00:56.480] I love it.
[00:57.360 -> 00:59.000] Great job, guys.
[00:59.000 -> 00:59.920] Well done, Max.
[00:59.920 -> 01:01.000] Incredible win.
[01:01.000 -> 01:02.400] Coming up on the podcast,
[01:02.400 -> 01:03.800] we speak to Red Bull athletes
[01:03.800 -> 01:07.020] Sven van Gendtt the 2019 BMX world champion and
[01:07.380 -> 01:10.780] Aras give you a Tsar the moto artist first
[01:10.780 -> 01:15.940] It's over to max Verstappen and David Coulthard to hear about how much this track means to them
[01:16.460 -> 01:21.720] So after many many years, we're coming back to one of the truly historic venues for Grand Prix racing
[01:21.720 -> 01:26.760] This is a circuit that was designed by the same man that was behind Suzuka and also Brands Hatch.
[01:26.760 -> 01:29.780] These are two of, now this circuit as well included,
[01:29.780 -> 01:31.720] the three of the truly iconic race circuits.
[01:31.720 -> 01:33.880] They have elevation change, they have camber change,
[01:33.880 -> 01:36.360] it attacks the senses of the drivers.
[01:36.360 -> 01:39.460] If there was ever a circuit designed for Max Verstappen,
[01:39.460 -> 01:40.300] this is it.
[01:40.300 -> 01:42.420] I mean it feels good to be here now.
[01:42.420 -> 01:44.080] You know, of course it was a shame that last year
[01:44.080 -> 01:45.000] was cancelled,
[01:45.000 -> 01:50.000] but I have to say now to see the track in this state is really amazing to see.
[01:50.000 -> 01:52.000] So I'm just looking forward to getting started.
[01:52.000 -> 01:55.000] We've been lucky enough to spend quite a bit of time in Holland over the years
[01:55.000 -> 01:57.000] and race here at Zandvoort in lower formulas.
[01:57.000 -> 02:03.000] The Dutch fans are incredibly passionate about their country and about their sports stars.
[02:03.000 -> 02:07.440] Max has really captured the imagination of the nation and along with Red Bull
[02:07.440 -> 02:12.240] he has grown the Formula One fan base to the point where we not only see a sea of
[02:12.240 -> 02:15.760] orange here in Zandvoort but we see it at key races across the year.
[02:15.760 -> 02:20.960] I think in general you know Dutch people like to follow a certain driver or team
[02:20.960 -> 02:23.840] you know they always got in full force so
[02:23.840 -> 02:25.720] to finally have a home Grand Prix for sure,
[02:25.720 -> 02:28.880] people won't want to miss out on that.
[02:28.880 -> 02:30.480] I mean, of course, it's always very nice
[02:30.480 -> 02:32.680] to have a lot of fans around to support you.
[02:32.680 -> 02:36.120] It gives you a lot of motivation to do well.
[02:36.120 -> 02:38.920] I've had a few crazy moments where there was a guy,
[02:38.920 -> 02:42.520] you'll see, he tattooed all the victories on his back.
[02:42.520 -> 02:43.920] I think at the time it was five or six,
[02:43.920 -> 02:46.680] so I don't want to see his back right now.
[02:46.680 -> 02:48.340] Being at home race does definitely add
[02:48.340 -> 02:49.840] another dimension, another pressure.
[02:49.840 -> 02:52.420] Some drivers are really lifted and boosted.
[02:52.420 -> 02:55.000] You know, when I was a young guy watching Formula One,
[02:55.000 -> 02:57.520] I remember Nigel Mansell would talk about people power
[02:57.520 -> 02:59.240] and how that gave him time.
[02:59.240 -> 03:01.760] I can't say I really felt that when I raced,
[03:01.760 -> 03:02.920] but I was lucky enough to win
[03:02.920 -> 03:04.720] the British Grand Prix a couple of times.
[03:04.720 -> 03:05.760] But I also remember
[03:05.760 -> 03:07.280] being in tears of frustration,
[03:07.280 -> 03:10.400] because I wanted so badly to have a good qualifying
[03:10.400 -> 03:13.640] or to have a good race, and sometimes it doesn't work out.
[03:13.640 -> 03:15.600] So Max is a pretty cool character,
[03:15.600 -> 03:19.080] and he's very good at deflecting any sort of pressures away,
[03:19.080 -> 03:21.720] but I have to believe, he's still a young man,
[03:21.720 -> 03:23.400] he's very proud of his Dutch roots,
[03:23.400 -> 03:25.880] I have to believe there's an increased pressure at this event.
[03:25.880 -> 03:29.080] My favourite experience from here, I think, is Sector 2.
[03:29.080 -> 03:33.280] Especially in the Formula 1 car, there's so many fast corners that it's really enjoyable.
[03:33.280 -> 03:37.800] And now, of course, with the new dimension in Sector 1 and 3, with the banked corners,
[03:37.800 -> 03:41.240] I think that's going to add up to a really cool Sector 2.
[03:41.240 -> 03:44.320] Well, the banking here at Zandvoort is something like we've never seen.
[03:44.320 -> 03:46.320] It's even steeper than than would be in Indianapolis.
[03:46.320 -> 03:48.200] You know, we'd previously had a Formula One Grand Prix
[03:48.200 -> 03:50.820] there using one of the banked turns.
[03:50.820 -> 03:52.920] I think it will add another dimension to the drivers.
[03:52.920 -> 03:55.360] It gives them an opportunity to play a little bit
[03:55.360 -> 03:58.040] with lines, especially at turn three or four,
[03:58.040 -> 03:58.960] the left-hander.
[03:58.960 -> 04:01.320] The last corner, I think, is very clearly defined.
[04:01.320 -> 04:03.240] It's the shortest way around the corner
[04:03.240 -> 04:04.640] will be the quickest line.
[04:04.640 -> 04:07.320] But I think that the narrow nature of this racetrack,
[04:07.320 -> 04:09.940] the elevation change, very short lap time,
[04:09.940 -> 04:12.720] is going to make it very much attacking the senses
[04:12.720 -> 04:15.160] of the driver in the same way that a Monte Carlo would.
[04:15.160 -> 04:17.600] I think I did one or two laps with Daniel back in the day
[04:17.600 -> 04:19.440] with a caravan behind and I think,
[04:19.440 -> 04:23.040] I wasn't allowed to destroy mine so I had to drive slow,
[04:23.040 -> 04:26.000] but I think Daniel completely ripped his one apart.
[04:26.000 -> 04:29.600] So I was lucky enough to do a running show car event here with Max.
[04:29.600 -> 04:35.600] I remember we went out behind the main pits and out into the sand dunes
[04:35.600 -> 04:39.920] and Max took off and I was really worried because I thought we should build up
[04:39.920 -> 04:42.000] and get a fuel for the car and the circuit.
[04:42.000 -> 04:45.800] And I thought I'm going to come around the corner and find bits of race car lying around,
[04:45.800 -> 04:47.320] but no, not at all.
[04:47.320 -> 04:50.820] This is Max Verstappen, he's committed, he's fast,
[04:51.880 -> 04:53.760] he's got skills that I can only dream of,
[04:53.760 -> 04:56.840] and for him it was just normal to go flat out straight away.
[04:56.840 -> 04:58.480] I always have to try and do the best I can
[04:58.480 -> 05:01.680] in terms of race result, so it doesn't matter
[05:01.680 -> 05:04.680] if it's a home Grand Prix or not.
[05:04.680 -> 05:06.360] I'm just going to try to
[05:06.360 -> 05:09.560] enjoy the whole weekend with all the fans around.
[05:09.560 -> 05:14.520] And that he did. He brought the victory home for all of the Dutch fans. They'll be partying
[05:14.520 -> 05:19.480] for days after that win. Well done, Max. Now on Talking Ball, we'd like to introduce you
[05:19.480 -> 05:25.120] to other areas of the Red Bull world. We sent Rasheed to have a chat with BMX World Champion
[05:25.120 -> 05:31.760] Zwan van Gent and Moto Artist Arras Gibijaja. Over to you chaps. So it's the Dutch special of
[05:31.760 -> 05:37.360] the Talking Bull podcast and I'm joined by two of Red Bull's finest athletes on two wheels,
[05:37.360 -> 05:46.360] both of them. Zwan van Gent, he is the 2019 BMX World Champion and Aras Gibiagia is a motorcycle stunt rider.
[05:46.360 -> 05:51.440] Toine, let's start with you. You must have a love for speed. Where did that come from?
[05:51.440 -> 05:58.360] Good question. I think over the years when I started racing BMX, the speed
[05:58.360 -> 06:06.060] got higher and since I was 16 the sport got Olympic back in 2008 and then
[06:07.020 -> 06:13.020] 8 meter high start ramp got introduced and we hit like 60k an hour on a 20-inch bike
[06:13.020 -> 06:18.280] It's and you can imagine the bike is like no suspension. It's really nervous and
[06:18.900 -> 06:24.380] It's yeah, it's really small. So the sport got quicker in in quick succession then
[06:24.420 -> 06:25.840] Yeah, actually yeah it did
[06:25.840 -> 06:32.400] because of the Olympics need to be on a parking lot, like you can build a track on a parking lot
[06:32.400 -> 06:37.840] so they introduced a high ramp to increase the speed and well increasing the speed the
[06:37.840 -> 06:44.640] gyms got bigger, the speed got higher obviously and the level got up because it was Olympics.
[06:44.640 -> 06:45.600] I know that you like
[06:45.600 -> 06:49.760] things on four wheels as well which includes Formula One. Do you remember
[06:49.760 -> 06:54.240] when you started following the sport? Yeah around 10, 11 back in the day with
[06:54.240 -> 06:59.040] Schumacher which evolving in my own sport didn't watch it like that much
[06:59.040 -> 07:04.120] anymore and then yeah Max came around and then yeah following it every year
[07:04.120 -> 07:05.240] since.
[07:05.240 -> 07:07.800] Arras, I'm assuming two wheels is better than four
[07:07.800 -> 07:08.960] in your opinion.
[07:08.960 -> 07:11.520] Ha ha ha, it depends what you like.
[07:11.520 -> 07:12.780] I like both.
[07:12.780 -> 07:15.980] Everything what's with the engine is in my blood.
[07:15.980 -> 07:19.040] So where did the love for speed come from in your case?
[07:19.040 -> 07:21.760] Hard to say actually, maybe from my father.
[07:21.760 -> 07:24.760] He was the, maybe even from his father
[07:24.760 -> 07:29.120] because he was running the bicycle national team
[07:29.120 -> 07:33.840] of Lithuania, yeah, and my father was sort of racing
[07:33.840 -> 07:36.800] with the bicycles, but not for very long
[07:36.800 -> 07:38.640] and not very professional.
[07:38.640 -> 07:43.640] Maybe from that side, the love for speed came.
[07:43.640 -> 07:45.480] Now it seems to be that the Dutch have a love
[07:45.480 -> 07:50.600] for speed as well because wherever the F1 circus goes to you see orange fans
[07:50.600 -> 07:54.400] you see them in Hungary, you see them in Belgium, you see them in Austria. You were
[07:54.400 -> 07:59.640] at the Dutch Grand Prix on your stunt bike I suppose I should call it
[07:59.640 -> 08:03.160] performing in front of the Dutch audience the Orange Army. What was that
[08:03.160 -> 08:05.080] like? It's amazing.
[08:05.080 -> 08:06.880] It's amazing, actually.
[08:06.880 -> 08:11.760] It's been such a long time, I haven't seen so many people in one place,
[08:11.760 -> 08:15.960] and now, here at the grandstand, you can see like,
[08:15.960 -> 08:19.360] I don't know how many of them, but it was full, full, full house.
[08:19.360 -> 08:21.160] And it's amazing, because
[08:21.160 -> 08:24.160] for me, the best feedback you can get from the people,
[08:24.160 -> 08:25.240] it's their smiling faces, this is the best for me the best feedback you can get from the people it's their
[08:25.240 -> 08:29.800] smiling faces this is the best for me you know I'm doing my stunts and people
[08:29.800 -> 08:34.240] clapping and screaming and I can hear it even if the engine is on and the helmet
[08:34.240 -> 08:40.120] it's unbelievable. Let's just listen at what that engine sounds like.
[08:52.200 -> 08:54.000] And you're telling us that you can actually see the audience smiling because you do 360s all the time, but you can still see the people.
[08:54.000 -> 08:55.000] Yeah, exactly.
[08:55.000 -> 09:02.200] When I'm doing the Christ on the tank, like a stand like this, I can see the people because
[09:02.200 -> 09:07.480] I'm waving, shaking hands, and it's kind of my relax trick.
[09:07.480 -> 09:10.360] So you stand on a motorcycle to relax?
[09:10.360 -> 09:17.280] Stand for the trick, but it's also my relax trick because it only takes the balance so
[09:17.280 -> 09:18.760] you can rest a little bit.
[09:18.760 -> 09:23.680] Otherwise, when you're doing wheelies, stoppies, drifting, you need a lot of, it requires a
[09:23.680 -> 09:31.720] lot of power and the pressure to keep the bike in control so once I'm doing the Christ on the on tank I can
[09:31.720 -> 09:34.120] wave and I can just play with the audience.
[09:34.120 -> 09:37.720] Twan I'm wondering what is the power of something like the Orange Army for
[09:37.720 -> 09:42.320] example you were in Tokyo of course and there weren't a lot of people there in
[09:42.320 -> 09:46.520] the audience if any is that much different than when there are fans,
[09:46.520 -> 09:47.520] people cheering you on?
[09:47.520 -> 09:48.840] Yeah, I think it is.
[09:48.840 -> 09:52.440] When you're riding a really important race
[09:52.440 -> 09:54.720] and there are no people cheering for you,
[09:54.720 -> 09:59.720] it feels more like training with a few false guys.
[10:00.240 -> 10:02.540] And there is a medal at the line,
[10:02.540 -> 10:08.400] but it's different at that point, if I compare it to other Olympics.
[10:08.400 -> 10:13.200] If I look back to London 2012, a lot of Dutch people were there as well.
[10:13.200 -> 10:25.760] And the stands were packed and then the feeling, the atmosphere, you get kind of song, yeah, kind of wings and yeah you can perform like a lot better than
[10:25.760 -> 10:32.260] yeah I can, than without. And does it matter what kind of audience it is? Do
[10:32.260 -> 10:38.760] you like seek out the orange people? It's more the reaction of the people and
[10:38.760 -> 10:46.880] the love for the sport they're watching and yeah yeah, but if it's orange, it's always better.
[10:46.880 -> 10:48.680] Yeah, of course, of course.
[10:48.680 -> 10:51.760] So we mentioned Formula One already.
[10:51.760 -> 10:55.380] You were, I guess, so watching maybe about 20 years now.
[10:56.480 -> 10:59.520] When did you first become aware of Max?
[10:59.520 -> 11:03.960] I never followed the other classes like below Formula One.
[11:03.960 -> 11:08.880] So in the years Max got up, up, up in the ranks,
[11:08.880 -> 11:11.520] I was more focusing on myself.
[11:11.520 -> 11:14.280] And when he arrived in Formula One,
[11:14.280 -> 11:16.640] I was totally back into it.
[11:16.640 -> 11:18.000] Like that's more like it.
[11:18.000 -> 11:20.600] So 2015, he joined Toro Rosso,
[11:20.600 -> 11:23.680] that's when you got back into the F1 groove basically.
[11:23.680 -> 11:24.500] Yeah.
[11:24.500 -> 11:25.560] Great.
[11:25.560 -> 11:26.560] Ross, what about you?
[11:26.560 -> 11:29.560] What do you think of this Max mania that you experienced in the Dutch Grand Prix?
[11:29.560 -> 11:30.560] It's amazing.
[11:30.560 -> 11:36.960] It's amazing to have such a talented guy in your country and after 35 years to bring back
[11:36.960 -> 11:41.720] the Grand Prix, I can just imagine it's unbelievable.
[11:41.720 -> 11:47.680] And I met Max first when he was step up from the Toro Rosso to Red Bull Racing Team
[11:47.680 -> 11:53.040] and he had a show run here at the track and I was performing as well after he just won
[11:53.040 -> 11:54.280] his first race.
[11:54.280 -> 11:55.280] Right.
[11:55.280 -> 11:56.280] Yeah, it was cool.
[11:56.280 -> 11:57.280] Yeah.
[11:57.280 -> 12:03.120] So since then I am in love with his riding style and it's just not his riding style.
[12:03.120 -> 12:07.400] It's maybe about his character and all the Dutch fans surrounding him.
[12:07.400 -> 12:10.920] He's huge and this is really important for the country.
[12:10.920 -> 12:17.400] You mentioned his first victory, you guys both wondering, do you remember where you were when that first victory came?
[12:17.400 -> 12:18.600] Not really.
[12:18.600 -> 12:19.800] Do you, Toine?
[12:19.800 -> 12:21.320] Sitting at home, watching TV.
[12:21.320 -> 12:22.120] You were watching it?
[12:22.120 -> 12:23.400] Yeah, I was watching it.
[12:23.400 -> 12:25.320] And he stepped up to the team, of course.
[12:25.320 -> 12:27.280] Did you expect anything like that?
[12:27.280 -> 12:29.280] Well, after the first turn, yeah.
[12:29.280 -> 12:36.280] After the first turn, obviously the Mercedes were qualified, B1 and B2.
[12:36.280 -> 12:42.280] Max was right behind and you had the feeling like maybe, maybe finally a Dutchman can do it.
[12:42.280 -> 12:45.080] And he just did it first time around.
[12:45.080 -> 12:50.840] And do you think that's an important start for the Orange Army to turn up now at all these races?
[12:50.840 -> 12:52.960] I think something has to do with it, yeah.
[12:52.960 -> 12:59.400] Like, we know he can do it, and he proved himself like so many times already now.
[12:59.400 -> 13:05.520] But actually winning a Grand Prix first time in the Red Bull Racing Car is
[13:06.120 -> 13:09.640] It's huge to do something like that with so much pressure.
[13:09.640 -> 13:12.640] Arosa, are you a regular viewer of Formula One now?
[13:12.640 -> 13:17.600] Yeah, yeah, I'm trying I'm trying to watch it all the time. Also love MotoGP
[13:18.080 -> 13:20.840] Watch the MotoGP as well. Of course. Every race
[13:22.160 -> 13:27.520] Yeah, and the Formula One as well, but if we are happening at the same time,
[13:27.520 -> 13:28.920] I'll choose the MotoGP.
[13:28.920 -> 13:33.360] Yeah, but the Formula One, I'm a big, big fan of it, definitely.
[13:33.360 -> 13:39.120] Twan, I have to ask, do you think this is the year that the Orange Army will get its
[13:39.120 -> 13:40.360] own world champion?
[13:40.360 -> 13:41.360] Yeah, yeah.
[13:41.360 -> 13:51.080] I have the feeling the whole year actually and even with the bad luck he has this year his mental game is so strong and
[13:52.180 -> 13:57.080] Yeah, it's just really unfortunate what happened with the with the flat tire at the end like
[13:57.820 -> 14:01.800] winning the Grand Prix like practically and then you get like a flat tire you're done and
[14:02.280 -> 14:05.120] Two times didn't finish and all the other races,
[14:05.120 -> 14:08.240] he was so good, so consistent, so relaxed.
[14:08.240 -> 14:11.120] And he still is after those two setbacks
[14:11.120 -> 14:12.880] and giving away the point lead.
[14:12.880 -> 14:16.640] So yeah, I'm really confident in Max this year.
[14:16.640 -> 14:19.160] Okay, well, we all hope you're right, of course.
[14:19.160 -> 14:21.120] Arasi, you have any crystal ball views
[14:21.120 -> 14:23.960] on whether the team will become world champion?
[14:23.960 -> 14:25.840] Yeah, I hope so. I hope so.
[14:25.840 -> 14:31.320] And it looks like it really can happen this year because he is very fast, as always, and
[14:31.320 -> 14:35.560] Dakar is also seems working really good this year.
[14:35.560 -> 14:42.240] So they both are together, so it might be something really special for Max and Dutch
[14:42.240 -> 14:43.640] fans this year.
[14:43.640 -> 14:46.200] I'm just wondering, you guys stand in the
[14:46.200 -> 14:51.100] spotlight, you have often an arena of people around you, is there anything that
[14:51.100 -> 14:56.700] maybe an Orange fan or any other fan did that that you remember that stood out
[14:56.700 -> 15:00.400] because they did something crazy in the crowd while you were actually performing?
[15:00.400 -> 15:05.780] Is there something in your mind that comes up? Yeah, well, it's 2019. What happened?
[15:05.780 -> 15:10.460] I had a bus load with friends with me there in Zolder.
[15:10.460 -> 15:15.200] And one of the guys screamed through our start signal.
[15:15.200 -> 15:17.800] And it's like a voice you remember.
[15:17.800 -> 15:19.360] You recognize the voice.
[15:19.360 -> 15:21.840] You recognize the voice, so it comes true.
[15:21.840 -> 15:25.480] And it set me off completely in quarterfinals.
[15:25.480 -> 15:26.960] So he messed you up.
[15:26.960 -> 15:30.880] No, eventually it didn't really mess me up
[15:30.880 -> 15:32.920] because I still won at the end,
[15:32.920 -> 15:35.600] but in the quarterfinals I didn't have my best game.
[15:35.600 -> 15:39.760] And then I really, I set my coach to call them
[15:39.760 -> 15:43.360] and like, hey, KB, please be quiet at the start
[15:43.360 -> 15:46.000] because they were like right next to the hill.
[15:46.000 -> 15:50.760] So yeah, they shut up for the rest of the race,
[15:50.760 -> 15:55.400] but during and before, it just gives you a boost.
[15:55.400 -> 15:58.480] Twan, I'm wondering about the Dutch Grand Prix,
[15:58.480 -> 15:59.800] do you remember what you thought
[15:59.800 -> 16:02.560] when it was confirmed that it was going to happen?
[16:02.560 -> 16:03.760] I need to be there.
[16:03.760 -> 16:05.840] That's the first thing you thought, give me the tickets.
[16:05.840 -> 16:08.560] Not like that, not necessarily give me the tickets,
[16:08.560 -> 16:10.320] but like, I need to be there.
[16:10.320 -> 16:12.320] It's something really special,
[16:12.320 -> 16:14.560] and especially when Max is performing
[16:14.560 -> 16:17.440] with the Red Bull Card, he's so good this year.
[16:17.440 -> 16:19.720] You have to be there as a Dutch fan.
[16:19.720 -> 16:21.480] How important is Max to the Netherlands,
[16:21.480 -> 16:23.080] you think, as a Dutchman?
[16:23.080 -> 16:29.360] Since soccer isn't going that well the last couple of years, I think it's bonding, the
[16:29.360 -> 16:36.440] sport is still bonding and Max is the replacement of soccer the last couple of years.
[16:36.440 -> 16:41.600] It's one of the reasons so many fans, I think, are there because he is performing really
[16:41.600 -> 16:45.600] well and it's always better to cheer for somebody
[16:45.600 -> 16:48.180] who's performing really well at the end.
[16:48.180 -> 16:51.040] And yeah, who has a shot at a world title
[16:51.040 -> 16:54.760] than a soccer team who has the potential
[16:54.760 -> 16:58.340] but doesn't show it still after a couple years
[16:58.340 -> 17:01.600] and is getting frustrated a little bit.
[17:01.600 -> 17:03.760] Because you know they can play so much better
[17:03.760 -> 17:05.140] than maybe they do now
[17:05.140 -> 17:11.880] But yeah, what do you think are us is it has it got anything to do with the world championship chances that max has currently?
[17:11.880 -> 17:16.880] Yeah, yeah for sure for sure. I think so. He's very big I can imagine
[17:17.280 -> 17:21.360] He's like you said he changing a soccer it it might be the biggest
[17:22.160 -> 17:25.000] Sportsman in in the whole Netherlands.
[17:25.720 -> 17:29.880] It's really huge and to have such a fans like he has,
[17:29.880 -> 17:30.720] he's the best.
[17:30.720 -> 17:31.760] You're from Lithuania.
[17:31.760 -> 17:32.600] Yeah.
[17:32.600 -> 17:33.420] Do they know him, you think?
[17:33.420 -> 17:36.780] Is Formula One a much viewed sport in Lithuania?
[17:36.780 -> 17:38.560] It's kind of popular.
[17:38.560 -> 17:40.760] We have on TV.
[17:40.760 -> 17:43.440] So it means it's pretty popular.
[17:43.440 -> 17:44.280] Sure.
[17:44.280 -> 17:45.120] Yeah.
[17:45.120 -> 17:46.180] And they will probably know him?
[17:46.180 -> 17:47.280] Yeah, definitely.
[17:47.280 -> 17:48.960] But the ones who watch it,
[17:48.960 -> 17:52.040] or at least a little bit following Formula One,
[17:52.040 -> 17:53.040] we know for sure.
[17:53.040 -> 17:53.880] All right.
[17:53.880 -> 17:54.700] Quite impressive.
[17:54.700 -> 17:56.380] Did you also actually, Twan, follow,
[17:56.380 -> 17:57.740] because Max is, of course,
[17:57.740 -> 18:00.040] from a tradition of Verstappen drivers,
[18:00.040 -> 18:01.840] did you follow his father as well?
[18:01.840 -> 18:06.820] Yeah, I saw him in the orange car in the grid
[18:07.100 -> 18:09.960] quite often after a few laps.
[18:09.960 -> 18:14.960] But he did really something special as well, I think.
[18:14.960 -> 18:19.960] He's been like the one who did it,
[18:21.320 -> 18:23.340] yeah, I don't know if it's the first one,
[18:23.340 -> 18:27.360] but for my time when I'm alive
[18:27.360 -> 18:34.720] I know you also stop it was the first and familiar one and now to see his son following his footsteps and
[18:35.160 -> 18:40.040] Yeah, it's the better version of himself. He was a really talented driver as well
[18:40.040 -> 18:51.600] And I just when I walk in I walked walked him and just yeah good luck this weekend and he's a really humble man and I like that a lot.
[18:51.600 -> 18:52.600] Proud father for sure.
[18:52.600 -> 18:55.600] Yeah proud father for sure and nervous father as well.
[18:55.600 -> 19:04.000] Do you think the Orange Army changed much between when Max's dad Jos was driving and now that Max is driving himself?
[19:04.000 -> 19:08.000] I don't think it's changed, it just got a lot bigger.
[19:08.000 -> 19:16.000] The fans are there and always been there and now just a lot more people get to see the charm of the sport because of Max.
[19:16.000 -> 19:23.000] And that's a really special thing to do for a guy who's 23 years old.
[19:23.000 -> 19:25.440] Or 24, depending on, okay, that's old.
[19:25.440 -> 19:27.040] His birthday is pretty soon.
[19:27.040 -> 19:27.880] So.
[19:27.880 -> 19:28.700] Yeah, okay.
[19:28.700 -> 19:29.540] They're gonna come to my party.
[19:29.540 -> 19:33.200] For a mid 20 year old, he's doing like such an incredible
[19:33.200 -> 19:35.520] thing for the whole country.
[19:35.520 -> 19:38.920] Yeah, if you look at how it is in the middle of now,
[19:38.920 -> 19:41.920] it's impressive worldwide, what he's doing.
[19:41.920 -> 19:44.240] A final question I have for both of you.
[19:44.240 -> 19:46.000] You are mega stars on two wheels,
[19:46.000 -> 19:49.440] would you ever trade the two wheels for four wheels, or us?
[19:49.440 -> 19:53.680] It depends what level and if I can perform good,
[19:53.680 -> 19:56.480] because I really enjoy two wheels.
[19:56.480 -> 19:59.920] I used to racing actually, but I was a bit too big
[19:59.920 -> 20:01.880] and too heavy for the racing,
[20:01.880 -> 20:05.000] and results weren't that great
[20:05.280 -> 20:07.840] as in stunt riding, so I choose stunt riding
[20:07.840 -> 20:10.440] and I found a big, big passion in myself for it.
[20:10.440 -> 20:12.920] So I don't know, if I could trade it,
[20:12.920 -> 20:16.520] it really depends of how would I feel it if I tried.
[20:16.520 -> 20:18.600] So you're open to going to four wheels
[20:18.600 -> 20:20.120] depending on the opportunity.
[20:20.120 -> 20:21.480] Yeah, but not now maybe.
[20:22.520 -> 20:23.720] Not right now, so how about you, Twan,
[20:23.720 -> 20:26.000] because you said you're going to quit BMX. Yeah, but I now maybe. Not right now. So how about you, Twan? Because you said, you know, you're going to quit BMX.
[20:26.560 -> 20:28.320] Yeah, but I'm sticking to wheels.
[20:28.320 -> 20:29.360] Yeah, two wheels definitely.
[20:29.360 -> 20:32.400] I only swapped two wheels before to drive towards the races.
[20:32.400 -> 20:34.200] To do races with two wheels.
[20:34.200 -> 20:34.700] Yeah.
[20:34.700 -> 20:37.400] All right. Okay, guys. Thank you so much for joining us today.
[20:37.400 -> 20:38.400] Thank you guys.
[20:38.400 -> 20:38.900] Thank you too.
[20:38.900 -> 20:40.400] Great to hear from the lads there.
[20:40.400 -> 20:44.900] Let us know if you decide to swap for four wheels and we'll let you have a run around the track.
[20:44.960 -> 20:45.340] That's it for this special Dutch edition of Talking Bull. Lads there, let us know if you decide to swap for four wheels and we'll let you have a run around the track.

[20:59.270 -> 21:01.330] you
